Veronica J. Judson
Welcome!
My name is Veronica Judson (she/her/hers). I am a Ph.D. candidate in American Politics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and am an affiliate of the Elections Research Center.
I am currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science at Western Carolina University, where I teach sections of Introduction to American Government.
My research centers on American politics, with particular interests in elections, gerrymandering, political parties, redistricting, and voting behavior. Before coming to UW–Madison, I earned my B.A. (with Distinction) in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2021.
Outside of academia, I enjoy distance running, biking, hiking, and swimming—especially in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains. At home, I can often be found with a cup of tea and the company of my two cats, Mozzie and Agatha.
